Printer – Epson XP-7100

You can try out sticker printing with any color printer! You will just need to buy appropriate sticker paper (refer below) and the quality will vary, but it’s worth trying out!

If you are looking to print high quality stickers, keep reading. I was looking for a printer that would print high quality images but I wasn’t looking to spend too much money. I found the Epson XP-7100 in a few different articles and videos. This one was available on Amazon unlike some of the others. Especially now, it seems like printers have a long delivery time but I was able to get this one within a week of ordering. Amazon Link

If this one is not available, here are the article I read when deciding which printer to get.

Other than the initial price, also keep in mind that sticker printing takes a lot of ink so ink price should be taken into account if you plan on making a lot of stickers.

Sticker Paper

I personally like the feel of Matte Vinyl and I saw a lot of Sticker shops offering this material so I tried out this paper. I only got a set of 15 sheets to start off. Amazon Link

The most common type of sticker paper I’ve seen people use when doing some research is Online Labels. They offer bulk options as well. One thing to keep in mind is that some of their options only work for either inkjet or laser printers.

Process

First set up your printer by putting in one sticker sheet, if available make sure to set the appropriate paper type in the printer settings. After downloading one of the sticker sheets from this website, you can click print. If you have the option to choose the quality in the printing options, choose “Highest”. Also if you see the option to set the paper type, you should do so. This will help get the best possible color and image. Refer to the print preview to make sure the size looks as expected. Once it is printed out you should leave it for at least 5 minutes to help dry. After that, you can cut the stickers manually using a scissor. The sticker downloads include a cutting guideline line.
